Spring 2017, Day 15 of bird ringing.

Strong winds today with few birds flying around. Quite a few Harriers have arrived to the island and keep flying low in search of prey. A strange combination of species today! Winter birds still dominant but with a small influx of Ficedula flycatchers. The bird of the day was a Common Firecrest (Regulus ignicapilla, Πυροβασιλίσκος) a species extremely rare during the spring season!
