Bad Weather
Rain and wind have the upper hand these days allowing only few time for ringing in between. Not much to do appart from watching the Sparrowhawks hunting the finches.

Short-Toed Eagles
Less and less raptors as the time goes by but that flock of 9 juvenile Short-Toed Eagles Circaetus gallicus 2 days ago was remarkable.

Greenfinch
The Greenfinch Carduelis chloris is the new species trapped today. The juvenile Cory’s Shearwater Calonectris diomedea was found early morning at the dock after a night with heavy rain. Little Bunting!
The Little Bunting Emberiza pusilla, a rarity for the region, ringed earlier today for the first time in Antikythira and I think it is the first specimen ever ringed in Greece as well. Eagles
Well it seems that the Lesser Spotted Eagle Aquila pomarina is at the end an Imperial Eagle Aquila heliaca. Thanks Toralf for pinpointing our mistake. …and the 10th Short-Toed Eagle Circaetus gallicus of the season earlier today. Both juvenile birds.
