Spring 2016, day 43 of bird ringing

Stronger winds today but nevertheless we had 90 birds in total (71 in the constant effort). Spring 2016, day 42 of bird ringing

Third day with a good passage of Sand Martin (Riparia riparia, Οχθοχελίδονο) and Bee-eater (Merops apiaster, Μελισσοφάγος) today. Sand Martin was the species most ringed in fact (46 today). In total we got 92 birds at the constant effort site 19 at the opportunistic site. Daily totals can be found here:

The weather have been exceptionally unsteady this season and once more we could not set up nets for two consecutive days. After 2 day off we had a nice day today. 90 birds, at the constant effort site, of 19 species. The most common species were the Garden Warbler (Sylvia borin, Κηποτσιροβάκος) and the Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος). Daily totals can be found here:
