New species for the ringing list / Day 4 of ringing

The Spotted Crake (Porzana porzana, Στικτοπουλάδα; photo1) that was trapped today made our day. It is not so often we have the chance to see this bird from close by. Apart from that it was a slow day , with Chiffchaffs (Phylloscopus collybita, Δεντροφυλλοσκόπος) and Subalpine Warbler (Sylvia cantillans, Κοκκινοτσιροβάκος; photo 2) being the most abundant species.

Other species trapped today:

Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos, Τσίχλα), Nightingales (Luscinia megarhynchos, Αηδόνι), European Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris, Φλώρος), Robin (Erithacus rubecula, Κοκκινολαίμης), Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla, Μαυροσκούφης)
