A Sand Martin day / day 34 of ringing

Sand Martins (Riparia riparia, Οχθοχελίδονο) were all around the place today along with some Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica, Σταβλοχελίδονο) and a few House Martins (Delichon urbicum, Λευκοχελίδονο) and all three species were trapped. A small peak of Whitethroats (Sylvia communis, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος) took place today. In the seven hours of the constant effort ringing we manage to trap more than 250 birds.

Other species trapped:

Turtle Dove (Streptopelia turtur, Τρυγόνι), Hoopoe (Upupa epops, Τσαλαπετεινός), Wryneck (Jynx torquilla, Στραβολαίμης), Tree Pipit (Anthus trivialis, Δεντροκελάδα), Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos, Αηδόνι), Whinchat (Saxicola rubetra, Καστανολαίμης), Sedge Warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus, Σχοινοποταμίδα), Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus, Τσιχλοποταμίδα), Icterine Warbler (Hippolais icterina, Κιτρινοστριτσίδα), Garden Warbler (Sylvia borin, Κηποτσιροβάκος), Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος), Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus, Θαμνοφυλλοσκόπος), Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης), Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicolis, Κρικομυγοχάφτης), Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca, Μαυρομυγοχάφτης), Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus, Συκοφάγος), Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis, Χωραφοσπουργίτης)
