The first Yellow Wagtail / day 37 of ringing

Yellow Wagtails (Motacilla flava, Κιτρινοσουσουράδα) are not trapped often in our nets but today was one of those days! Apart from that it was a little bit calmer comparing to previous day in the end we trapped more that 70 birds. The two most abundant species were  Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος)  and Garden Warbler (Sylvia borin, Κηποτσιροβάκος).

Other species trapped today :

Tree Pipit (Anthus trivialis, Δεντροκελάδα), Whinchat (Saxicola rubetra, Καστανολαίμης), Sedge Warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus, Σχοινοποταμίδα), Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus, Τσιχλοποταμίδα), Icterine Warbler (Hippolais icterina, Κιτρινοστριτσίδα, Whitethroat (Sylvia communis, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος), Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus, Θαμνοφυλλοσκόπος), Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης), Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicolis, Κρικομυγοχάφτης), Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca, Μαυρομυγοχάφτης), Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus, Συκοφάγος), Woodchat Shrike (Lanius senator, Κοκκινοκεφαλάς), Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla, Μαυροσκούφης)
