Day 55- A Spotted Flycatcher Day

img_3247.jpgWe had a peak of Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης) today, with really a lot of them flying around and sitting at every branch. We also trapped our second  Eurasian Collared Dove (Streptopelia decaocto, Δεκαοχτούρα)  for the season and a Black-eared Wheatear(Oenanthe hispanica, Ασπροκωλίνα) which we do not get too often.Other species trapped today (around 130 birds in total) :Eurasian Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus, Συκοφάγος), Common Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus, Φοινίκουρος), Sand Martin (Riparia riparia, Οχθοχελίδονο), Tree Pipit (Anthus trivialis, Δεντροκελάδα), Common Whitethroat (Sylvia communis, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος), Garden Warblers (Sylvia borin, Κηποτσιροβάκος), Icterine Warbler (Hippolais icterina, Κιτρινοστριτσίδα), Eastern Olivaceous Warbler (Hippolais pallida, Ωχροστριτσίδα), Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus, Θαμνοφυλλοσκόπος), Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita, Δεντροφυλλοσκόπος), Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος), Sedge Warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus, Σχοινοποταμίδα), Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus, Τσιχλοποταμίδα), European Reed Warbler (Καλαμοποταμίδα, Acrocephalus scirpaceus), Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca, Μαυρομυγοχάφτης), Woodchat Shrike (Lanius senator, Κοκκινοκεφαλάς).img_3238.jpg
