Day 57

acrschs1007.jpgA bigger variety of species toady even though the numbers have fallen down (around 70 birds trapped). It was quite nice to have five Bee-eaters (Merops apiaster, Μελισσοφάγος) at the first net round. Apart from those colourful birds other species ringed today were:Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus, Τσιχλοποταμίδα), Sedge Warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus, Σχοινοποταμίδα), Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης), Common Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus, Φοινίκουρος), Woodchat Shrike (Lanius senator, Κοκκινοκεφαλάς), Common Whitethroat (Sylvia communis, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος), Garden Warblers (Sylvia borin, Κηποτσιροβάκος), Icterine Warbler (Hippolais icterina, Κιτρινοστριτσίδα), Eastern Olivaceous Warbler (Hippolais pallida, Ωχροστριτσίδα), Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος).
