Day 14 of ringing

Today, 16 september, other two new volunteers coming from England, John and Vicky, two good ringers!

Yesterday few birds ringed, after the record of 109 traps of two days ago, the birds have left the island because very full of fat accumulated before to come into Antikythira.

Today about 40 birds ringed, not so many.  One Tree pipit (Anthus trivialis), 4 Red-breasted flycatcher (Ficedula parva), 4 Icterine warbler (Hippolais icterina), 7 Spotted flycatcher (Muscicapa striata), 5 Wood warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus), 3 Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla), 8 Garden warbler (Sylvia borin), 2 Subalpine warbler (Sylvia cantillans), 1 Winchat (Saxicola rubetra), 1 redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus).
