Day 30 of ringing-Night birds

 img_6430-1.jpgOur first European Nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus, Γιδοβύζι) was trapped today along with two European Scops Owl (Otus scops, Γκιώνης). Apart from that it was quite windy but we noticed a new wave of Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus, Τσιχλοποταμίδα).Other species trapped today:European Turtle Dove (Streptopelia turtur, Τρυγόνι), Eurasian Wryneck (Jynx torquilla, Στραβολαίμης), Common House Martin (Delichon urbicum, Λευκοχελίδονο), Tree Pipit (Anthus trivialis, Δεντροκελάδα), Common Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos, Αηδόνι), Common Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus, Φοινίκουρος), Sedge Warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus, Σχοινοποταμίδα), Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla, Μαυροσκούφης), Garden Warbler (Sylvia borin, Κηποτσιροβάκος), Lesser Whitethroat (Sylvia curruca, Βουνοτσιροβάκος), Common Whitethroat (Sylvia communis, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος), Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος), Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus, Θαμνοφυλλοσκόπος), Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata, Σταχτομυγοχάφτης), Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis, Κρικομυγοχάφτης), Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca, Μαυρομυγοχάφτης), Eurasian Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus, Συκοφάγος), Woodchat Shrike (Lanius senator, Κοκκινοκεφαλάς), Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis, Χωραφοσπουργίτης)
